As a Technical Editor, you are responsible for creating and further developing high-quality, clear, and practice-oriented installation instructions for our high-voltage accessories in the field of energy transmission. You work closely with design, development, assembly, and product management to ensure that our customers worldwide receive clear, standards-compliant, and visually appealing documentation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of installation instructions for high-voltage accessories
    (cable accessories, joints, connectors, terminations, etc.)
  • Development of content in collaboration with engineering, development, and assembly teams
  • Creation and preparation of technical illustrations using SolidWorks Composer
  • Structuring and publishing content in the ST4 content management system
  • Ensuring consistency, clarity, and quality of the instructions
  • Participation in the standardization and continuous improvement of our documentation processes
  • Active involvement in the continuous improvement process (CIP): ongoing revision and optimization of existing instructions in line with product developments, innovations, and adaptations

Your Profile

  • Completed technical training (e.g. design engineer, electrician, assembler, HF technician) with further training or experience in technical documentation
  • Experience in the high-voltage sector, electrical engineering, or power engineering
  • Ideally experience in assembly or design of technical products
  • Knowledge of technical illustration (SolidWorks Composer or similar)
  • Ideally confident use of content management systems, preferably Schema ST4, or willingness to learn
  • Strong technical understanding and a precise, structured working style
  • Ability to describe complex assembly steps clearly and accurately
  • Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken

Ideally, you also bring:

  • Experience in the complete creation of new technical manuals
  • Background in assembly with the aim of transitioning into technical documentation
  • Experience with standards and requirements for technical documentation
