As Health, Safety and Enviroment Manager (a) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organization

Main Activities

Health and Safety Management:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct health and safety training programs for employees

 

Environmental Management:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
  • Manage waste disposal, recycling programs, and other sustainability initiatives.

 

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of health, safety, and environmental incidents, inspections, and training.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated with changes in HSE legislation and inform the management team accordingly.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving HSE performance and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all business processes.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in an HSE role
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
  • Sicherheitsbeauftragter or Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (FaSi) approved by SUVA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective training and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • German as native language, fluent in English
