For our Supply Chain department, we are looking for immediate or by-agreement support from a motivated Freight Forwarding Specialist (a) 100%.
Your Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing national and international transports; ensuring that goods reach their destination on time and safely.
- Negotiating contracts and prices with transport companies, freight forwarders, and other service providers to secure the best conditions for the company.
- Preparing and managing all required transport documents such as bills of lading, delivery notes, and insurance documents.
- Working closely with customers to understand their requirements, develop transport solutions, and ensure their satisfactory implementation.
- Monitoring delivery schedules, controlling transport costs, and ensuring compliance with transport plans; proactive communication with customers and partners in case of delays or issues.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding clerk or a comparable qualification.
- Knowledge of letters of credit is an advantage.
- Several years of professional experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport management.
- Solid knowledge of national and international transport regulations, customs regulations, and logistics processes; experience with hazardous goods is an advantage.
- Confident use of forwarding software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills; other foreign languages are an advantage.
